Breathing for life

What is the Buteyko Method?

The Buteyko Method gets its name for the Russian doctor Konstantin Buteyko. The Buteyko Method consists in a series of breathing exercises and guidelines that are specifically designed to reduce over-breathing (clinically known as “chronic hyperventilation”). It is simply a fact that many people breath too much, which alters the natural concentration of gases in the blood, reduces oxygen delivery to tissues and organs, and creates constriction of the smooth muscles that surround blood vessels and airways. This can lead to several health problems. Bringing breathing volume towards normal and making the switch from mouth to nose breathing helps to alleviate such health problems.

By re-educating your breathing you support lifelong health and well-being!

The Buteyko Method has been investigated in 17 clinical studies so far, obtaining positive results. You can read more about them here.
